Basil

Just been catching up on Alys Fowler’s column in the newspaper magazine. She’s reminded me to plant some more basil. The last pot lasted well beyond any shop bought pots. Incidentally, those shop bought herb pots seem to go into terminal decline after a week or so. Is this an inbuilt self destruct module which forces you to buy more?!

Planted one pot of seeds in a disc, and one randomly scattered. I’ve covered the in a plastic bag as the last lot became a creature’s evening meal. Should I put on the windowsill in the house, or in the greenhouse?

Decided to go for the greenhouse option. Alys reckons I should sow another pot in a weeks time. I’ll put those on the windowsill – controlled experiment?
